Blockchain.com is raising $50 million in venture capital to invest in upstart enterprises, according to reports from the company. It is understood that the cryptocurrency firm is in advanced talks with investors about raising a venture capital fund.

Blockchain.com intends to invest this fund in both stocks and within the cryptocurrency sector. The crypto firm is one of the biggest European cryptocurrency companies in Europe and is located in London England.

Sam Harrison who joined the firm from Naspers Ventures last year July is said to be the one behind the latest attempt to generate funding.

Which is the $50 million venture capital fund and has already invested in a number of crypto startups including Origin Protocol, Sliver.tv among others.

Since its launch in 2012, the company has raised more than $70 million from sponsors including Google Ventures, Virgin and Venture capital fund Lakestar.  The company also has a high profile executive with Anthony Jenkins former CEO of Barclays a member of its board.
