The collaboration with SERPRO is set to address two key areas. First, the Cardano Foundation will extend its Cardano Academy program to SERPRO’s 8,000 employees, offering masterclasses and other educational events to boost blockchain literacy within the public sector. Secondly, SERPRO will integrate the Cardano network into its suite of services, aiming to enhance transparency and improve service delivery. Cardano Foundation CEO Frederik Gregaard emphasized that this integration could serve as a powerful example of blockchain’s potential to revolutionize government operations.
This initiative marks another significant step in Cardano’s expansion in Brazil, following a December 2023 partnership with Petrobras to educate staff on blockchain technology. The integration with SERPRO, which supports over 750 digital solutions, processes more than 33 billion transactions annually, and manages over 30.4 petabytes of data, highlights the real-world utility of Cardano’s blockchain beyond mere speculation.
Despite the promising news, Cardano’s native token, ADA, is trading at $0.88—a 7% decline over the past 24 hours. This downturn coincides with market uncertainty following President Donald Trump’s executive order to stockpile digital assets, which has tempered expectations that the government would directly boost crypto valuations.
