Crypto Policy Integration

Users may now scroll to discover how various lawmakers think about digital assets, thanks to a framework resembling a news feed. According to a tweet from CEO Brian Armstrong, the exchange eventually wants to assist crypto-friendly candidates in accepting donations. He claims that by doing this, the 103 million verified users of the company will be better able to understand the stance taken on crypto by their regional political leaders.

Cryptographic Policy Grows

Users may also register to vote and learn about nearby town hall meetings through the app. According to Armstrong, the business will eventually combine pertinent political issues from around the world, separate voting information on potential candidates for office, and present elected individuals. As part of its plan, Coinbase intends to incorporate data collected by the Crypto Action Network - a scorecard that ranks Congressmen according to their views on crypto, as expressed in their public statements and actions related to crypto policy.

The features appear when interest in cryptographic policy grows. Industry leaders have been expanding their policy and compliance teams to prepare for upcoming regulations.

It will "enable pro-crypto candidates to request funds from the crypto community (in crypto)," according to the CEO. He added,

"Crypto advocacy is critical for our mission of increasing economic freedom globally, and Coinbase will do its part to help. But the crypto community is much bigger than Coinbase - hopefully, we can all rally to engage elected leaders and drive sensible policies."

Recent actions by Coinbase include funding a US federal lawsuit brought by Tornado Cash users against the Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) over unexpected restrictions imposed on the company. The exchange is also engaged in legal skirmishes with the government as concerns over token classification grow.
