Crypto Exchange OKEx Joins Klaytn to Boost Blockchain Adoption

OKEx
The world-leading digital asset exchange, OKEx announced it has officially joined Klaytn, a public blockchain project to foster the mainstream adoption of distributed ledger technology (DLT) across nations.

Backed by Kakao Corporation, Klaytn now has a cryptocurrency exchange as an Ecosystem Partner, with other partners from different sectors, including Governance Council, Initial Service Partners, KLAY Blockchain Application Partners, and Investors.

The Exchange believes that its addition of Ecosystem Partnership contributes to building a stable blockchain ecosystem. As noted, the partnership aims at the massive adoption of blockchain experience for several users around the world.

Upon the partnership with Klaytn, OKEx gets the enablement to connect to different networks and portfolios under the blockchain space.  This further explores the possible use cases of blockchain, while also encouraging the adoption of the technology.

"Exchanges and projects itself should work together to define and adopt standards that will promote digital asset adoption globally. At OKEx, we are always keen to work with market players in expanding the market and bring in quality projects in accordance with market needs, and I believe this indicates a good start," the exchange wrote.

Notably, Klaytn is an enterprise-grade and service-centric blockchain platform developed by Kakao's blockchain arm. Its goal is to combine the features of both public and private chains via an efficient hybrid structure, to provide solutions for enterprises.

As a strategy to ensure maximum security, Klaytn works together with partners to create a reliable and trustworthy business platform.

Chase Choi, the Head of Business at Ground X, said, "We are delighted to welcome the global top exchange OKEx to join Clayton. [...] As Asia's no. 1 blockchain platform, we will further solidify and expand our ecosystem together with OKEx."

As a market leader in South Korea, the reputation of Klaytn's parent firm, Kakao as a messenger service parallels that of other global renowned messenger firms that serve in their respective markets, per the report.
