An evidently doctored picture that made rounds on Twitter shows a photograph of Binance Chief Changpeng Zhao (CZ) on Interpol's red notification page, recommending that the crypto titan is confronting serious legitimate issues.
A locate and provisionally arrest of a person pending extradition, surrender or similar legal action request is known as a "red notice."
Crypto influencer Cobie tweeted a SHA256 hash containing an encrypted message that read, "Interpol Red Notice for CZ," which sparked rumours that Interpol is looking for CZ. Cobie himself asserts that no one should have been able to read the message, which was merely an unlikely prediction and rumour.
SHA256 hashed rumours more than 20 times in the past year without disclosing the truth. The idea behind a hash commitment scheme is that no one should be able to read them until the truth is revealed. Well, it's a rumour and a "prediction." It is evidently impossible for it to be confidential information unless there are actual Interpol leaks, which seems unlikely.
