As soon as Eminem declared his donation during Lil Wayne’s Young Money Radio show on Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio station, Jack Dorsey joined straight after that he wants to support the rapper to help restore Detroit. He has been probably the biggest contributor from the Crypto space and gave away 28% of his net worth last month through his company Square to help fight coronavirus. People of Detroit have been hit hard by new Coronavirus, with more than 10,000 confirmed cases and almost 1200 deaths reported in the city.
Jack Dorsey has been at the forefront of the crisis and has helped and highlighted the use of Crypto to save the day. He opened a Blockchain-based fund and made the first opening donation worth 28% of his net worth. He now has teamed up with Eminem who prior to this donated Mom's spaghetti, a famous reference from his Oscar-winning song "Lose Yourself" and raised $160,000 for Djs in Detroit who has been jobless for a while now.
Bitcoin has been mentioned on his raps once or twice and it'd have been interesting to find out if the donation was made in cryptocurrency. The top-selling Hip Hop artist of all time donating in bitcoin would surely have helped escalate the price further.
