Gemini Exchange Launches Crypto Credit Card
The popular crypto exchange platform originally announced the project at the beginning of 2021. Since the announcement, more than 500,000 users joined the waitlist for the new crypto credit cards. Gemini launched the crypto credit card after more than a year of this announcement.
The Card is issued by the WebBank, the state-chartered industrial bank, and includes all the benefits of Mastercard.
Instant Crypto Rewards on Every Swipe
The Gemini credit card comprises innovative features such as rewards. Users can earn up to 3% crypto rewards every time they swipe the card to make purchases. Moreover, the rewards can be in the form of Bitcoin, Ether, or more than 60 other cryptocurrencies.
The credit cardholders can earn up to 3% crypto back on dining purchases. For grocery purchases, the rewards are up to 2%. For all the other purchases users can earn up to 1% rewards.
The platform charges no annual fee or any other exchange fees to acquire the rewards. However, users need to pay charges for selling or converting their crypto rewards.
With this move, Gemini accelerates the widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies for everyday transactions.
