Invesco has <a href="https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1418144/000119312521236682/d209327d485apos.htm#pro209327_4" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">filed </a>with the Securities and Invesco, an Atlanta-based investment firm with $1.3 trillion in assets under management, has submitted its third exchange-traded fund application (ETF). 

This would be the firm's first product that would expose its consumers to Bitcoin. Commission to create an ETF that would provide Bitcoin exposure to futures and other related assets.
<h2>Invesco Filed Third Crypto ETF With Exposure To Bitcoin</h2>
According to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Thursday, the Invesco Bitcoin Strategy ETF would not invest directly in cryptocurrency; rather, it will seek full exposure to Bitcoin futures and, to a lesser extent, other investment vehicles.

Bitcoin electronic-traded notes (ETNs) and ETFs <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/grayscale-planning-to-renew-its-thrust-to-release-a-bitcoin-etf/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">traded </a>outside of the United States, as well as private investment trusts such as Grayscale Bitcoin Trust, are examples of the latter assets (GBTC).

According to Invesco, the <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/cme-group-to-launch-another-micro-bitcoin-futures-contract/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Chicago Mercantile Exchange</a> (CME) is presently the only licensed trading platform in the United States where Bitcoin futures contracts are traded.

Furthermore, the fund may invest directly in cash, cash-like instruments, or high-quality assets, including US Treasury securities such as bills, notes, and bonds.

In June of this year, the company submitted two further applications for crypto-specific ETFs. These ETFs provide exposure to Bitcoin mining businesses as well as companies that have Bitcoins on their balance sheets, such as Square, Tesla, and MicroStrategy.
<h2>Bitcoin ETFs Remain A Mystery</h2>
The submission comes at a time when plenty of U.S. financial firms are lined up in front of the SEC's door, seeking to persuade the agency to approve a Bitcoin ETF with direct exposure to the underlying asset.

However, the Commission has been hesitant thus far, citing Bitcoin's volatility and the possibility of market manipulation. It has either refused or postponed any applications that have been presented to it.

One such <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/scaramuccis-skybridge-capital-buys-carbon-offsets-for-bitcoin-holdings/">example</a> is Anthony Scaramucci's SkyBridge Capital–last month, the SEC postponed a judgment on a Bitcoin ETF proposed by the business, stretching the review period back to August 25.

Nonetheless, as revealed last week, the leading American crypto exchange Coinbase is optimistic that a Bitcoin ETF will eventually appear–possibly as soon as next year.
