Earlier last week, crypto entrepreneur Sina Estavi put Jack Dorsey’s ‘First Tweet’ NFT up for auction with a listing price of $48 million. Additionally, he also promised that half of the proceeds from the NFT sale will be handed out to GiveDirectly, an East African-based non-profit organization that helps families living in extreme poverty.
The auction was closed on April 13 with just seven total offers ranging from the highest bid of only 0.09 ETH ($277 at current prices) to the lowest at 0.0019 ETH (almost $6).
However, after the auction was closed off, the NFT got the highest offer upto 2 ETH, worth $6,222 at the time of writing, which is still way less than Estavi’s listed price.
Estavi, who is the chief executive of blockchain company Bridge Oracle, later told a crypto publication that he might sell the NFT of Jack Dorsey's tweet if he gets a good offer.
