LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman is releasing a collection of Solana-based NFTs based using images he created with the help of OpenAI's DALL-E 2 artificial intelligence (AI) system.

Hoffman announced the initiative today on Twitter, saying that the first collection debuted on Magic Eden, the largest NFT Marketplace on <a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/symmetry-protocol-releases-solanas-first-asset-management-infra/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Solana</a>, at 4:00 p.m. ET.

The NFT titled "Untranslatable Words" consists of 11 tokenized images on the Solana blockchain, originally created on DALL-E 2, which generates realistic images and art from a description in a certain language.

The first piece in the collection, "mångata," is up for <a href="https://magiceden.io/auction/uw_mangata" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">auction</a> and has a current top bid of 12 SOL, or about $517. According to the Magic Eden listing, the Swedish term means "the road-like reflection of the moon on water." Hoffman wrote that he was inspired by "words that exist in another language where no single-word equivalent in your own language exists."

Hoffman also said that the current bearish market is very lucrative for developers and entrepreneurs who want to work in this space and are focused "on long-term value creation."

He plans to split the funds generated by each piece between charitable causes as well as his team of collaborators. Any NFT that is not purchased during the auctions will be burned or permanently destroyed.
