Ripple Board Member Ken Kurson, the co-founder of Modern Consensus, has been arrested on allegations of cyberstalking. It is revealed that he had been allegedly sending messages to many people, which contained threats. Under the U.S. anti-stalking, slander, and harassment laws, this act is counted as a criminal offense. This crime is usually charged as a misdemeanor, but can be charged as a felony if the threat is serious or if you have a previous conviction for this offense. If you are convicted of a felony, it will stay on your record forever, and it will be impossible to get record expungements.The authorities are also able to get the evidence against this board member which proved that he was monitoring the activities of a person by installing stalking software on their computer device.

Routine Background Check Discovered the Act by Ripple Board Member

The Ripple Board Member was considered to get a board seat on the National Endowment for the Humanities. In respect to the position, he was compelled to a routine background check and this act was discovered during that background check only. 

Ripple has not made any official statement or comment regarding the arrest of its board member yet. However, several people have stated that many threats were to the person who used to be a friend of Kurson. Kurson blames his friend for breaking his marriage. 

The lawyer of the board member stated that these charges under which he has been arrested are not worthy of prosecution. However, a lot of people count these charges in the major criminal charges.
