Shytoshi Kusama, a pseudonymous developer in the Shiba Inu ecosystem, said in a Medium blog post that "independent developers" are creating a decentralized stablecoin called SHI that "seems to sidestep the flaws identified in prior moonshots" - most likely hinting at the multibillion-dollar Terra/Luna catastrophe. The blog post stated that the team hopes to release SHI later in 2022 and expects to provide more details as it approaches its final form.

The Shiba Collectible Card Game will be associated with TREAT, a forthcoming reward token for the SHIB metaverse. The blog post stated that the token would also "assist provide balance to" Shiba Inu's stablecoin without elaborating on how that will happen. According to the developers, the project's steadfast supporters would also be given "a limited supply" of TREAT.

Ecosystem Tokens BONE and LEASH

Shiba Inu gained a devoted following during the latest cryptocurrency boom. It is the second most well-known dog-themed cryptocurrency after dogecoin (DOGE). The meme coin was introduced in August of 2020. Later, it introduced the ecosystem tokens BONE and LEASH, as well as the decentralized exchange ShibaSwap, with additional intentions to develop the meme coin into a crypto ecosystem. As part of the strategy, developers are creating Shibarium, an ecosystem-specific layer two protocol, which would facilitate the deployment and development of native apps and a gas token called BONE. The group is separately constructing a metaverse project with 100,000 virtual land plots. The blog post states that the currently under construction Shiba Inu Collectible Card game will exist in Shiba's metaverse.

Following the news, the SHIB token of Shiba Inu traded unchanged, but during a week in June amid rumors regarding its Shibarium protocol, it rose by about 50%. BONE and LEASH tokens from ShibaSwap have seen increases of 6% and 5%, respectively, over the past day.
