Uniswap spin-off project, SushiSwap, recently <a href="https://twitter.com/SushiSwap/status/1305022359187775492" target="_blank" rel="noopener">tweeted</a> about its update which includes, airdrop, buyback, inflation down by 90 percent, etc., but the DeFi developer, Andre Cronje, is still upset with it. 

While criticizing the founder of SushiSwap, Chef Nomi, yearn.finance developer stated that they brought in a bad reputation to the DeFi movement. 
<h2>SushiSwap Updates Are Self-Serving</h2>
On of the followers of SushiSwap on twitter has mentioned that the updated events that the platform has listed are self-serving.

As per the report, the update announced by SushiSwap would help the project in its further development. 

However, yearn.finance founder is not impressed with Sushiswap, in fact, he considered it to be a setback for the DeFi space. 

Cronje compared this latest update of Sushiswap with the ICO scams’ development, which happened during the last bull-run. 

He stated that at the time of the bull-run, ICO was able to generate a huge amount of funds and for that, it did not put a lot of effort too.

While indicating the similarities between the SushiSwap and ICOs event, yearn.finance developer stated, “The founder selling their holdings and airdrops and buybacks happening while a huge dev share had been allocated — and all the while it was ‘just a fork’ of Uniswap.”
<h2>SushiSwap Being Controlled By Community</h2>
The report further notified that presently, the SushiSwap project is being controlled by the community but before it, the project was being managed by the CEO of FTX, Sam Bankman-Fried. 

When SushiSwap was introduced in the market, DeFi was trending, and because of that the protocol also got a lot of attention. The protocol started becoming more popular in the DeFi space as it started offering more liquidity than Uniswap.

It has been reported that Chef Nomi has recently apologized for obscuring DeFi’s reputation and also has promised to return the funds, the protocol has earned through the sale of its governance token, SUSHI.
