The Simpsons which is the longest-running TV series of all time, recently, broadcasted an episode that explained cryptocurrencies and blockchain. The 13th episode of season 31 has been broadcasted to raise awareness regarding blockchain and cryptocurrency.

The Big Bang Theory Actor Give Voice Over

‘The Big Bang Theory’ actor Jim Parsons, who played the character of Sheldon Cooper, gave his voice in the crypto tutorial episode. In the 13th episode of The Simpsons, Parsons talked about decentralized cryptocurrencies, how it works and how the transactions could be recorded on a distributed ledger.

According to the reports, during the episode, Parsons did not talk about Bitcoin specifically, he rather mentioned the name of its (Bitcoin) creator, Satoshi Nakamoto.

More Predictions By The Simpsons

The report further stated that on many occasions ‘The Simpsons’ has predicted the future very accurately, whether it’s related to Donald Trump or smartwatches. In the year 1997, the TV show broadcasted an episode which was about ‘Crypto Barn’.

In the latest episode of the TV series, the cryptocurrencies have been portrayed as the nerdy money of the future. According to the sources, in the year 1993, one of the episodes of The Simpsons that got aired was related to ‘Corona Virus', however, the TV show never used the same term. The episode showed that Osaka Flu outbreaks in Springfield residential area after a factory worker coughs into a box. Although, many of the information in the episodes were not the same its prediction regarding flu was true.

It has been reported that the members of the crypto Twitter gave a positive response after watching the series. Recently, the CEO of crypto exchange Binance, Changpeng Zhao tweeted, “Now even Lisa Simpson knows Bitcoin."
