Recently one of the anonymous sources tried to get in touch with Tron so that he could help the decentralized platform in identifying Twitter hackers and collect $1 million bounties from the company.
Although the source offered legitimate information about the hacker, the representative of the Tron did not believe him.
A week ago, after hacking the accounts of some personalities around the world, the hackers asked their followers to send whatever amount of Bitcoins they want to a specific wallet and in return, they would receive the double amount of it.
Soon after seeing the tweets from people like Joe Biden, Kayne West and Bill Gates, the users started sending Bitcoins to the wallet.
Although this 1 million bounty of Tron did not make any financial sense because during the scam the hackers were only able to get 13 BTC worth $125,000, they had hacked the Twitter account of many of the personalities which include the former president of the US.
It is fine that Tron’s bounty does not make financial sense because it has been trying to bring the scammers to justice because the platform itself is affected by this kind of activity. Soon Tron would be launching a war chest against this kind of activities.
When the unknown source was able to get in touch with Tron, it representative asked him to get a stamp of approval.
Presently, Tron has stated that it did not want to get any new information from the source. In a group chat, Tron’s representative and the source talked with each other, where the source told the representatives that as soon as they get free they could join him on Zoom or Discord. But the representatives declined that option.
