Ukraine Vice PM Mykhailo Fedorov Cancels Crypto Airdrop

Ukraine Crypto Airdrop
Earlier, the Ukrainian Government had confirmed to conduct a ‘crypto airdrop’ to donors who contributed crypto donations to Ukraine’s crypto wallet address. Due to the Ukraine-Russia crisis, the crypto community donated millions of dollars worth of cryptocurrencies to help fund the war. However, yesterday the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov tweeted about his decision to cancel the crypto airdrop of Ukraine that was set to begin at 6 PM according to the Kyiv time.

Airdrop refers to crypto projects that enable sending free tokens to investors of crypto to bid encouragement in the adoption of crypto. El Salvador is a fine example for airdrops, it is known for donating Bitcoin airdrops to its country’s citizens.

Additionally, Mykhailo Fedorov also stated that instead of the crypto airdrop, Ukraine will announce non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to support the armed forces of Ukraine during this conflict.
