Hex Trust, who issued and secured the wrapped asset, confirmed that wXRP is fully backed 1:1 by native XRP held in institutional-grade custody.

Built using LayerZero's Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard, wXRP can be seen as "XRP designed for DeFi." It offers users a compliant and secure way to utilize XRP across a multichain environment while still enjoying 24/7 redemption rights in its native XRP Ledger. Initial rollout includes Solana Ethereum Optimism HyperEVM; signalling an aggressive push for cross-chain use cases of XRP.
