DogeDesigner, a Dogecoin Foundation UI/UX and graphics designer, recently announced a new plugin that allows website owners to accept Dogecoin payments. The WooCommerce plugin, created by a Dogecoin developer, would allow over 455 million WordPress websites to use it as an "Easy Dogecoin Gateway."
The plugin is free for all website owners to use and does not require the involvement of a third-party payment processor. There are no hidden costs, and all you need is a simple Dogecoin wallet to start accepting cryptocurrency payments. It uses two different APIs to calculate the exact value of fiat in DOGE and create QR codes for smooth user payments.
Even if the meme coin hasn't had the best of luck with its price, significant developments
have helped maintain community morale. One of these is Jeff Bezos, one of the world's wealthiest men, a Twitter follower of Dogecoin co-creator Billy Markus.
The Dogecoin founder, who already has a large following, was surprised to see the Amazon CEO join in. Markus, whose Twitter account is full of cryptocurrency-related messages, returned to the market last year and is already a prominent person in the industry.
