According to a recent Pew Research Center study, 46% of US crypto investors believe their debut in the market has performed worse than anticipated. Only 15% of investors acknowledged that their bets had proven to be more profitable than anticipated. The survey also revealed that compared to last September's data, the percentage of cryptocurrency traders in the US has been relatively constant.

Expectations of US Crypto Investors

According to the study conducted in July 2022, approximately 50% of US crypto investors did not anticipate that their investment would be in the same state as it is now. 15% of respondents indicated their allocation turned out to be superior to predicted. While 31% said they expected this result.

Due to significant developments in the sector, the proportion of US cryptocurrency investors has not moved significantly since September 2021.

About 16% of Americans indicated they devoted a substantial amount of their wealth to this asset because they were seeking different investing opportunities. 75% of respondents said they thought investing in cryptocurrencies was an excellent way to generate income. While 54% said it was simpler to buy bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies than other items.

US Youth and Their Interest in Cryptocurrencies

The millennial generation is important to mention when it comes to young people who invest some of their money in cryptocurrency. The results of another Alto poll showed that 40% of Americans born between 1981 and 1996 are the owners of digital assets.

According to the founder and CEO of Alto - Eric Satz, the majority of those who are not investors said they have been thinking about the possibility of joining the ecosystem soon. Some people who want to invest in cryptocurrencies are discouraged by the present financial climate.
