Apple has announced that it will exhibit the development of four new devices and software models ahead of the start of the 33rd edition of the annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) set to commence on June 6. The announcement has led to speculation about whether Apple could soon launch NFTs.

Apple Could Be Experimenting With NFTs

Fanatical forums such as MacRumours centres on promoting and discussing Apple’s progress. Recently, they noticed that tapping on the Memoji revealed an augmented reality mode with three trading card characters available to be claimed. The Memoji characters have become a consistent fixture in Apple’s consumer branding strategy over the past few years after recognizing cultural affiliation with memes and mascot brand marketing. As a result, the Memojis have become a consistent feature in the company’s consumer branding strategy. These cards will be positioned as Web2 elements used solely for collectible purposes, with no intrinsic or tradable value.

Apparently the cards have visual similarities to the avatars of RTFKT Studios’ CloneX. Besides, they look like the animated cards of Gary Vaynerchuk’s VeeFriends Series 2. Furthermore, they appear like the Easter egg feature. This has led to speculations within the crypto community about the possibility of Apple launching NFTs in the future.
