Atari Founder Nolan Bushnell Ventures Into Space With The Launch of the 6U Satellite

Atari Founder
Play-to-Earn gaming company Moxy.io have announced the signing of a contract agreement with Geometric Energy Corporation (GEC) for its MOXY.IO mission to low-earth orbit. This partnership was announced on Tuesday 7th of June by Nolan Bushnell, the Co-Founder and Chief Knowledge Officer of Moxy.io. Nolan who is also the Founder of Atari, Chuck E. Cheese and the inventor of Pong said that this was a part of the Geometric-1 rideshare launching on October 1, 2022.

Having played a pivotal role in the gaming and electronic entertainment industry since its Inception, Nolan Bushnell sees this (Moxy.io) partnership with GEC and Exobotics as his opportunity to conquer one of the unknowns he hasn't conquered yet. That unknown is space. Confirming this, Moxy.io Chief Knowledge Officer Nolan Bushnell said, "Throughout my career, I've always tried to push the boundaries to do the next big thing. Space exploration is pretty cool and has never failed to capture my imagination. With Moxy.io, I'll finally be able to cross that off my bucket list."

In this venture, Exobotics will serve as the satellite platform and payload manufacturer for MOXY.IO. GEC on its own will operate as the general mission controller for this venture that is aimed to launch a SpaceX rideshare in the latter part of the year. Equipment that will be used to make this mission successful would include some next-generation sub-systems that are developed in-house by Exobotics to orbit the earth and beyond. Other equipment that will be taken by Moxy.io and GEC on this mission are star trackers, reaction wheels, structures, solar panels, images and payload computers. Exobotics will also provide both the S and X band radios. This will be used with distributed ground station networks.

Geometric-1

This rideshare mission to the earth's orbit is essentially a rideshare program that is conducted by the GEC. A collaboration with Maverick Space Systems will see multiple satellites launched with their integration services of an ESPA port on this program. On one of these satellites launched, there would be a display screen which will allow users to use the RHO, BETA, KAPPA, GAMMA and XI utility tokens (aka space tokens) to claim x-coordinates, y-coordinates, time of images, brightness and colour. The quotations for the costs involved to display an image will be shown on the satellite display screen, and these quote denominations will be widened to include quotations in wrapped DOGE on Ethereum and/or renDOGE, as well as quotes in Ethereum, bridged MOXY.

There would be an extra satellite (NOCLIP by POINTBLANK LLC) that will be used to provide free virtual reality (VR) streaming for decentralized and unadulterated access to a phenomenon that only people who have ever gone into space would have experienced. This phenomenon is known as The Overview Effect. The NOCLIP satellite will also offer augmented reality (AR) filters that will be used for utility token holders of MOXY. Speaking about the mission, the CEO of Moxy.io Matt deFouw said, "With Moxy.io's first anniversary has recently passed, it is incredible to witness our hard work and dedication lead to tangible progress and results. Combining the MOXY.IO mission news with our upcoming Platform launch, Moxy.io has positioned itself to be the first Metaverse project to go to Space. Our journey will not stop here; this is just the beginning of the Moxyverse."

On his part, Samuel Reid, the CEO of GEC opined, "GEC is excited to collaborate with Moxy.io and Nolan Bushnell to bring further utility and collaboration to the earth orbit display screen satellite with Xi Protocol for time, and the virtual reality stream satellite with NOCLIP for AR data overlays." And Exobotics CEO Nadeem Gabbani said "We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with Moxy.io and GEC to deliver another cutting edge nano-satellite platform and payload. Our goal has been to go above and beyond not just on the technology we deliver, but also to provide a service akin to being an in-house satellite development team. We are sincerely excited to support these companies in their inspiring ventures."
