With the Mega City cultural hub housing numerous Hong Kong businesses, artists, and entertainers, Hong Kong plays a significant and expanding role in The Sandbox. AXA joins this dynamic virtual community as a forerunner in the sector by being the first insurer to participate in The Sandbox. The business will try to give its clients new digital experiences through AXA's LAND, working together to co-create the future of insurance in the metaverse.

The Sandbox-DBS Collaboration

Recently, The Sandbox collaborated with the Singapore-based financial services group DBS to venture into the metaverse space. The partners will introduce visitors to the DBS BetterWorld interactive metaverse experience. DBS would purchase a 3x3 plot of LAND, a type of virtual property in The Sandbox metaverse. The area would have interactive components, emphasizing the importance of creating a sustainable environment.

The bank's different engagement platform, DBS BetterWorld, would inform visitors to The Sandbox about current environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. According to the most recent contract, DBS would buy carbon offsets to make the development of DBS BetterWorld carbon neutral.
