BAYC’s Otherside Metaverse Will Release Its First Tech Demo on July 16
The Otherside is an open-world meta RPG from Yuga Labs, the creators of the popular Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection. The team first launched the project on April 30, and since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting the game’s release. However, the demo is only available to those who own an Otherdeed land NFT.
It is not yet clear if The Otherside will be free to play in the future. For now, the game demo is only available to NFT owners. However, the Alpha and Beta versions of the game will most likely be open only to NFT holders.
Most Successful NFT Sale in History
The BAYC Metaverse Otherside was regarded as the most successful NFT sale in history. Plots in the Otherside Metaverse were auctioned for roughly $100 million within 45 minutes of the launch.
The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) sold over 55,000 Otherdeeds and raised above $300 million when the sale was over. The sale was a massive success for the team, but the experience was not so smooth with skyrocketing mint prices and failed transactions for many to such an extent that it even crashed the Ethereum blockchain.
