Dippies are the modern-day adaptations of hippies but with the same value. When you think of a hippie, what likely comes to mind is a character that is out of touch with time. You think of flowers and Woodstock. But this idea of hippies itself is outdated. In reality, hippies have evolved as the years have gone by. With the advance and sophistication of technology today, this evolution of the average hippie has enabled and ushered in a new era of hippies. The result?, digital hippies (Dippies).
Unlike the average idea you might have of hippies, while Dippies are still carving their path themselves, they are still very much in touch with society. Rather than trying not to be part of the system (as we've come to associate hippies with), Dippies are building businesses that would help them layer themselves across the system. Across the world, Dippies are building global communities. This is against existing in small communities off the grid. Instead of refusing the way things are currently, Dippies will be changing them — and a lot of them will be carrying out these changes using crypto.
Goal of Dippies
Dippies are hoping to build a new world that is rooted in decentralization. The goal of the team when creating the Dippies collection was to commemorate the initial thoughts and ideas of hippies that we have while adding a flare of modernization and a 'coming-of-age' feel to the entire process and collection.
The team aims to create characters that ooze originality while inspiring the community to come together and create a world where they believe in. The team wants a situation whereby when you get a Dippie, you're rocking counter-culture, freedom, rebellion to the status quo while encouraging adoptions of the latest technological trends and advancements.
Community members will be getting access to a connected community that is set on working together and setting up events and activities for the new world. Having a Dippie would ultimately mean rocking a character that represents the true free world being built before us.
