Swiss cryptocurrency trading platform Bitcoin Suisse is launching an omnichannel crypto payment solution called ‘WL Crypto Payments’ with European payments and transactional services provider Worldline.

According to an official <a href="https://www.bitcoinsuisse.com/news/worldline-and-bitcoin-suisse-launch-wl-crypto-payments-in-switzerland" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">announcement</a> on Friday, Bitcoin Suisse is launching an omnichannel crypto payment solution in partnership with the Worldline network. Dubbed “WL Crypto Payments,” the new solution is a point-of-sale (POS) and eCommerce gateway in Switzerland for Worldline’s network of over 85,000 Swiss merchants.

Under the arrangement, merchants can now accept payments in Bitcoin (<a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/btc-technical-analysis-the-key-moment-has-come/">BTC</a>) and Ethereum (<a href="https://www.cryptoknowmics.com/news/ethereum-price-prediction-2021/">ETH</a>). When a customer makes a purchase, prices will be shown to the merchant in Swiss Franc. It can also be quoted in one of the two cryptocurrencies in real-time.

Following the payment confirmation, the crypto transaction is immediately converted into Swiss francs (CHF) to prevent price volatility. The pay-out process also includes other payment options, like credit cards.

The crypto payments collaboration between Worldline and Bitcoin Suisse had been initially announced in November 2019, followed by a successful pilot program conducted by the two companies.
<h2><strong>Leader in Blockchain Industry</strong></h2>
Switzerland has become a major hub for the burgeoning blockchain and cryptocurrency industry. Currently, there are over 800 companies related to digital currencies or blockchain technology that are developing various solutions towards cryptocurrency/blockchain services.

In June, banking giant BBVA launched Bitcoin trading and custody services in the country with a Bitcoin management system integrated into the BBV Switzerland app. However, it was not clear whether users can withdraw funds to wallets they controlled. In April, insurance firm AXA started offering a bitcoin-based payment option in Switzerland to meet the growing demand from its customers.
