According to a press release, cardholders will be able to spend their digital assets on POS (Point of Sale) devices, withdraw cash from ATMs, and make online purchases. Visa cards are accepted at more than 70 million merchant locations worldwide, according to Bitlocus.
Merchants will be able to make payments using their tokens listed on the Bitlocus exchange, ensuring that companies benefit anytime customers pay for goods or services with the Bitlocus card. Aside from that, business customers will have the option of having their logo attached to the card.
Physical and virtual versions of the cards will be available. Bitlocus stated that registration on the waiting list would be announced soon.
This comes as Visa's crypto-linked cards continue to gain traction. According to the company, transactions through the company's crypto cards hit $1 billion in the first half of 2021. The financial services giant said the transaction volume of crypto-linked cards surpassed $2.5 billion in Q1 2022, continuing the trend.
