Following a major record, Universal Music Group announced, "We're planning to design a virtual metaverse band gleaned from a group of characters from Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs." Another bigger from the music, i.e., Timbaland—has announced his twist onto this idea.
With the announcement of creating Ape-In Productions, Timbaland brings in an advanced entertainment company and platform that will advance music and animation for metaverse applications.
Timbaland confirms Ape-In working with several collaborators including Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT owners. Variety states, "Timbaland's first-ever hip-hop group – 'TheZoo', with its first song – 'ApeSh!t' will be released parallel to an NFT collectible on November 17."
Timbaland addresses Variety, "We have designed a modern entertainment platform in the metaverse. The motive is to add creative control and long-term ownership to the hands of artists. This concept had been incredibly crucial to us."
Blockchain records NFT to be a freehold to a rare digital item. NFT can assume the pattern of profile pictures, digital illustrations, music files, etc. During the period 2021, the market exploded with a value of $10.67 billion worth of trading volume in the third quarter.
To entitle absolute access and handout experiences for owners, Ape-In Productions plans to leverage NFT collectibles. Concurrently, production studio BRON Digital will devise an animated series and virtual concerts for Ape-In.
Timbaland is heretofore plunged in the NFT space. Earlier in November, he launched a series of Ethereum-based music NFTs based on his impending "Opera Noir" EP. Collectors will be available with the upcoming application to consolidate the NFT music samples and clips to foster their compositions.
