Brave Launches Video Calls With End-To-End Encryption Feature

Brave
Brave, a huge crypto browser has recently launched video calls with a feature of end-to-end encryption. Through this encrypted video call feature, the Brave users will be able to make unlimited video calls, plus they won’t even need to sign up to access this feature. Currently it provides a feature to do video calls between two participants only. The firm is currently working for video conferencing with more participants and will be made available soon as by this time, it is being tested on a development version of the browser.

Brave video calls coming amid COVID-19 crisis

Due to COVID-19 crisis, people across the world have been forced to work from home and during this time, video calls are emerging as an ultimate solution for everybody. Zoom video calling was spiked to a very great extent during the lockdown situation but a lot of people have also raised several questions regarding the privacy and security of this app. Back in April, Elon Musk banned all of his employees from doing video calls using Zoom due to privacy and security issues. Brave has introduced encrypted video calls before Zoom which will cause a great success for this platform. This is because people were looking for a much safer and secure alternative.

Browser’s adoption growing

In March, it was revealed by Des Martin, marketing head of Brave that the platform is able to get more than one million new users that too in one month only. Due to this, it is quite clear that the platform is able to grow its adoption among people. The platform also pays reward BAT tokens to its users for just viewing ads which have also contributed towards its wider adoption. Recently, Brendan Eich has said that very few users of the platform are able to take advantage of the Brave’s privacy feature.
