The new version is also available for the upcoming Trezor hardware wallet update, including enhancements in the UI/UX performance.
To ensure a seamless experience, Cardano has urged the users of Daedalus to upgrade to avoid problems during the hardfork upgrade. While most of the crypto exchanges will support the next upgrade, those specifically using Daedalus should install the v4.3.1 version to avoid problems in the future.
“To ensure uninterrupted wallet operation, be sure to upgrade Daedalus before the HFC event on Sunday, September 12th @ 21:44 UTC.Existing users will get a prompt to update via the Daedalus newsfeed. If you are new to Daedalus remember download it ONLY from the official site.”
The wallet update comes just two days prior to the Alonzo mainnet launch that’s scheduled to start from Sept. 12 on at around 9:44 p.m. UTC.
Major cryptocurrency exchange Binance has also confirmed the support for the upcoming update. During the course of the upgrade, Binance will suspend the deposits and withdrawals of Cardano’s native ADA token while trading of the cryptocurrency will not be affected in any way.
The Alonzo Hard Fork Combinator event will be the most significant update that has taken place from Cardano and will eventually create the foundation for a new and exciting era of smart contracts in the future.
Cardano is the largest Proof-of-stake network in terms of market valuation and will now be the largest network together with Alonzo. With an average daily transaction volume of 82,000, Cardano is expected to double this figure in combination with the deployment of decentralized applications. The increase in network activity will also have a positive impact on ADA’s valuation.
