Earlier today, it was announced that the creators of Stake.com, one of the largest Bitcoin casinos in the world, were being sued by their former partner. According to reports, former partner Christopher Freeman sued in the Southern District of New York. He stated in his petition that he had been duped into departing from the design of crypto casino Stake.com and was seeking $400 million in punitive damages.

Investing $1 Billion in Stake.com

According to a late 2021 investigation by The Age and Sydney Morning Herald, Craven and Tehrani founded the crypto casino Stake.com in Melbourne in 2017, contrary to popular belief. Stake.com, the primary shirt sponsor of English Premier League soccer team Everton, has developed into a business with a potential market worth of up to $1 billion thanks to Canadian pop star Drake serving as its principal brand ambassador.

Craven recently made headlines in Australia when he broke the previous record for a Toorak mansion by paying $80 million for it. Entities associated with Craven earlier this year paid $38 million for another Toorak property.

Stake.com Calls Freeman's Assertions "Misleading"

Stake.com's creators were adamant that Freeman's assertions were untrue. The company went so far as to say that the lawsuit was an attempt to distribute false information. The statement went on to say, "The complaint filed by Chris Freeman contains internally inconsistent, intentionally misleading, and provably false allegations."

The company declared that it would resist Freeman's pressure and maintain its position. The Bitcoin casino's creators had a lot of faith that the court would quickly dismiss Freeman's claims.
