The recent crypto downturn was largely driven by concerns over U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposed tariffs—25% on Mexico and Canada, and 10% on China. This led to uncertainty in global financial markets, affecting cryptocurrencies.

However, the situation changed when Trump temporarily paused these tariff plans following agreements with Mexico and Canada. Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum agreed to deploy 10,000 National Guard troops for border security, while Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau proposed a $1.3 billion border security plan.

Trump confirmed these agreements, easing market fears and triggering a crypto market rebound.

The recovery was also fueled by institutional buying at lower price levels. Analyst Maartunn from CryptoQuant noted a rise in the Coinbase Premium Gap (+103.6), indicating increased institutional demand for Bitcoin in the U.S.

Bitcoin has crossed $102,000, while Ethereum recovered from $2,251 to $2,827. The Crypto Fear &amp; Greed Index also improved to 45 (neutral zone), signaling a shift in sentiment. With renewed confidence, the market eyes further gains.
