On Wednesday, the 35-year old artist shared his gambling victory in an Instagram post showing the moment his number came in on the spin of a wheel to his 105 million followers. His winning bet saw him place a bet on black 11 on the roulette table and his celebrations were caught on camera as the number dropped in.
“Speaking of memorable nights, I had an incredible night last night playing roulette on Stake.com. It was my biggest hit ever,” Drake said in the video clip.
In addition to helping out the charity, the singer also gave out $100,000 to the mother of a high school basketball player in Toronto who's on his way to a college career in an effort to support the family.
This is the first announcement to come since Drake officially announced on Instagram his partnership with Stake, calling it “inevitable.”
“Stake.com has always been about community. That extends beyond our players to the wider public too, especially those who will benefit the most from acts of generosity and love like that shown by Drake,” Stake co-founder Ed Craven said.
Drake often bets big and over the Super Bowl were reported to have placed three separate bets worth almost $1 million in Bitcoin (BTC).
