Four years ago, Enjin introduced a concept on the Ethereum network, Efinity. After garnering traction, Enjin began looking for an “affordable solution” which in turn would allow NFT adopters to create blockchain games and NFT projects.
As per the announcement on the website of Enjin, they successfully found their solution in the blockchain platform, Polkadot. The move of Efinity going live on Polkadot is considered a historic moment for the community.
Since the beginning of March 2022, Efinity has been live on Polkadot's Rococo Test Network, however, it officially went live as Efinity parachain on Polkadot.
The objective of Efinity is to provide millions of users a medium to host cryptocurrency or NFTs without the need for smart contracts. This means that a user can move their assets onto Efinity without the permission of the creator.
