Earlier today, Flow network tweeted that its blockchain platform saw an all-time high record of nearly 740,000 daily transactions on Feb 18.
It also marked the second-largest number of new wallet sign-ups, according to a tweet from Dapper Labs CEO Roham Gharegozlou who also adds that the recent launch of UFC Strike marketplace brought in the most single-day wallet sign-ups in Flow’s history.
Launched last month, UFC Strike is the official NFT marketplace of the Ultimate Fighting Championship with an initial drop that saw 100,000 pieces that got $50 per NFTs in only a matter of hours. In fact, the launch itself brought 60,000 new users taking part in the first drop, according to Mik Naayem, co-founder and chief business officer of Dapper Labs.
Similar to UFC, the NFL too launched its own NFT marketplace called NFL All Day, in closed beta last December which similarly brought in a new number of users.
“It’s hitting all of the metrics we expected,” said Naayem, who pointed out that over $5 million have been spent so far, in testing alone.
For the public rollout, no official launch date has been yet announced.
In September 2021, the NFL and Dapper Labs initially announced a partnership to launch an NFT marketplace where fans could collect video highlights of the NFL’s biggest plays of the season in the form of digital collectibles.
