Gemini, a cryptocurrency exchange, has been down for more than three hours since Thursday night because of scheduled maintenance, according to the company, which provided no additional details.

Gemini announced in November that withdrawals for its yield product would be postponed due to Genesis Global, a partner, pausing withdrawals.

According to a statement on the exchange's status page, the Gemini Spaceship will be inaccessible for all user interfaces and trading from Thursday, December 15th, from around 10:00 pm to Friday, December 16th till 12:30 am ET. However, the exchange has repeatedly delayed starting the services since then, and they have been out for over 7.5 hours at the time of writing this article.

Resumption of Services

Gemini stated that its services would be operational again by 07:30 UTC. Gemini is looking into rumors of possible service interruptions. All client accounts and money are absolutely safe. There will be further information, around 5:20 UTC on Friday, the exchange stated.
