A dog-themed nonfungible token (NFT) collection and an on-chain treasure hunt have been launched by the Bundesnachrichtendienst (BND), Germany's foreign intelligence agency, with the intention of attracting cyber talent. The "Dogs of BND'' collection, which includes 999 dog NFTs inspired by BND's guard and security dogs as well as "different intelligence roles," was unveiled by the Federal Intelligence Service earlier in June.

German BND challenges cyber talent to find Ethereum tokens to be used as prizes

The NFTs can only be collected by finding a character string that points to an Ethereum address, as stated on the BND's website. To be eligible to mint an NFT, the cyber talent would need to use that information to locate the collection.When the BND talked to the German crypto outlet BTC-Echo, the agency said that it created the collection and challenge to try to find talent in cybersecurity. The collection has twelve NFTs that are not yet available for purchase. The BND stated that future challenges with these tokens as prizes would be more difficult.

 

NFTs see big spike in value after BND 'contact hacking challenge

According to BTC-Echo, the BND was thinking about a smart contact hacking challenge.

The floor price and trading volumes of the NFTs have skyrocketed as a result of increased interest in the collection. The collection's liquidity remains quite low in spite of the significant increase in value. The assortment saw an all out volume of around 1 ETH which recommends something like 20 or so NFTs were sold by gatherers.
