Hyperledger is a consortium of different firms which are jointly working on open-source enterprise solutions which were launched back in December 2015 by Linux Foundation. The few blockchain giants that are included in these eight members are Cardano’s IOHK, IOV Labs and many others. There is one Japanese firm as well which is a consulting and PR firm along with other new entrants.
Along with this announcement of eight members, it has also been revealed that The Global Blockchain Business Council, GBBC and InterWork Alliance have also joined Hyperledger. InterWork Alliance is a non-profit firm that aims towards establishing frameworks that will be supporting both distributed applications and tokens as well. GBBC, on the other hand, is a council that works towards promoting Global Blockchain Standards Initiative across the platform. According to Brian Behlendorf, executive director of Hyperledger, it is trying to put blockchain forward in different ways across the world among different industries and sectors.
A few days ago, it has also been revealed that Hyperledger has also formed an alliance that is there to work for globalizing the standards for tokenized ecosystems. Marlay Gray, chairman of IWA has also said there is a huge importance of a globalized standardization. This will work towards the wider and huge adoption of tokenization. There are several complications related to blockchain technology which makes it quite difficult for people to adopt it at a wider scale. Once the global standards will be set for the complete ecosystem then there will not be this difficulty which will ultimately lead towards wider adoption.
