Indonesia's Richest Family Talks Blockchain Venture With Binance
Investing in crypto with Indonesia’s wealthy family is on the table for Binance. The agreement would provide a solid foundation for the country's most influential businesses to invest in digital currency. Binance would also get a stronger presence in the fast-growing economy. Tokocrypto, one of Indonesia's leading cryptocurrency exchanges, has already invested in the startup.
The cooperation between Bank Central Aisa (BCA) and the country's main telecom provider(PT telecom), which is controlled by brother billionaires Budi and Michael Hartono, would promote cryptocurrency acceptance in the Southeast Asian nation, where the majority of the adult population lacks access to banking or formal finance.
Aside from the BCA, Indonesia's wealthiest family also owns a large cigarette manufacturing, a telecommunications company, and an e-commerce company.
