The $100 million multi-year partnership involves agreements between Digitalbits Foundation, FC Internazionale Milano, and Zytara Labs to reach out to an audience that is global, digitally available, and diverse, according to the official press release.
Under the agreement, Zytara will be Inter Milan’s official global digital banking partner, and Digitalbits (XDB) will be the club’s official global cryptocurrency.
Fans of the football club will now be able to access crypto-based products through the Inter Milan mobile app, which will be developed and integrated with its digital banking services by Zytara, where game tickets will be sold directly through the app.
In addition, Inter Milan intends to use the XDB coin to accept crypto payments in its stadiums, online, and physical stores throughout Milan.
Inter Milan corporate CEO, Alessandro Antonello, said:
Digitalbits will also become the football team’s official jersey sponsor, where the cryptocurrency’s logo will appear on all Inter jerseys for both men’s and women’s first teams as well as the Primavera and junior teams in all domestic and international matches.
The partners have also shown their interest in the use of Digitalbits blockchain to construct digital player cards and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) for its global fan base.
Al Burgio, founder of Zytara and the Digitalbits blockchain, said:
“Our collaboration will position Inter as one of the most technologically advanced and forward-thinking clubs in the world. We’re thrilled to partner with the reigning Italian champions and a club with such a rich history.”
