The NFTs will highlight the "individuality" of Kia Soul's 2023 model. Three NFTs will be the main heroes in a 30-second television commercial for the broadcast campaign in which they travel in a Kia Soul and traverse a city. By scanning a Q.R. code from the 30-second ad, viewers can purchase one of the pieces in this collection. The Sweet NFT platform will support digital asset collections. Each NFT will be made with superior-grade materials in a 3D computer-generated format.
Sweet, the platform underpinning Kia's NFT line, has collaborated with significant firms in the traditional financial system across several industries. The platform has formed partnerships with Old Navy, Elton John, and McLaren Racing. Ben Purcell, David&Goliath's chief creative officer, continued:
"With Kia, we want the work to be as innovative as the vehicles. So we thought, what if we could be the first to take a few NFTs for a ride? Living, breathing, and, of course, driving like never before (…). And who better to capture the multi-hyphenate Soul driver than the DASK skeletons who embrace individuality."
Kia has previously entered the digital asset and Web3 industries. In collaboration with Sweet, the brand debuted the NFT collection "Robo-Dog" in February 2022. Proceeds from this collection were donated to The Petfinder Foundation, a group that aids animals in shelters in finding long-term homes.
