The goal of the project is to discover a solution to the problem that everyone operating in the Web3 sector is currently experiencing: how to establish privacy-focused work as an industrial standard. The alliance aims to inform consumers and end users about the significance of privacy rights, not just because they might have something to conceal but because they have the freedom.
The Leading Privacy Alliance provides a forum for its members to come together, develop a collective voice that speaks for the whole industry, and share insights and ideas. All three founding members finally realized the need for additional information on privacy and ways to improve data protection by keeping the end-user in mind.
Blockwallet, Dusk Network, and HOPR.net, the three founding members, collaborated because of their common objectives to integrate privacy using Zero-Knowledge Proof technology. They soon recognized that they were responding to the same queries and reservations about the subject.
Several incidents in the ecosystem demonstrated how the objectives of Web3 to leverage blockchain technology and token-based economics to construct a better, more accessible, and decentralized web are hindered by the lack of understanding surrounding privacy, access, and regulation.
LPA is developing a DAO to establish a community of firms that can assemble around common principles to ensure that the digital domain represents our collective need for security.
