According to its official website, LG Electronics, one of the biggest producers of electrical products worldwide, is seeking chief technical officers (CTOs) to oversee the company's expanding Web3 business.

The term "Web3" alludes to the creation of a decentralized internet, primarily based on the blockchain technology that powers cryptocurrencies. The industry titan in electronics is hiring CTOs for its business development and service design divisions.

LG Electronics to Research Blockchain and Web3 Services

The former will create new blockchain and Web3 firms and establish collaborations in the international Web3 industry. In addition to designing and creating decentralized apps (dApps), the latter is anticipated to research blockchain and Web3 services. Knowledge of non-fungible token (NFT) utility and blockchain technology are requirements for the roles.

In a formal statement from February, the industry said that its future business objectives include the creation and distribution of blockchain-based technologies and trading and licensing digital currency.

Wallypto - Decentralized Crypto Wallet

LG Electronics introduced Wallypto, a decentralized cryptocurrency wallet, in September. Wallypto utilizes the Hedera Hashgraph network. In Q3 2022, LG Electronics reported total sales of nearly 21.18 trillion Korean won (about $15 billion).
