MoneyGram Teams up With Amazon And Google Cloud

MoneyGram has taken another step to enhance its payment system by adding a "multi-cloud strategy" with Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services. The new initiative could immensely reduce the cost of transfer worldwide.

The COO of Moneygram, Kamila Chytil, talked about how the company has been ever-willing to expand its brand by adding cutting-edge technologies to their array, and that all the branches are going through a digital metamorphosis.

"Our digital transformation has enabled the company to streamline its operations and significantly reduce expenses," said Chytil.

December 2019 saw Moneygram started using Visa Direct to aid its customers in transferring funds in a blink of an eye.

It also adopted its multi-cloud storage last year, and this year they are willing to add even more flexibility to their system in order to cut down the cost of transferring money further. Amazon Web Service (AWB) is the king when it comes to cloud-based applications.

Google Drive will help by analyzing the customer's behaviour and lend in a helping hand by ensuring MoneyGram stay in touch with the user's experience. MoneyGram, along with its leading strategic partner Ripple Labs, is leading the charge in bringing a blockchain revolution to the world in an audacious attempt to advance digital payments across the globe.

MoneyGram And Ripple Proving Their Mettle

MoneyGram has been a handful and has shown stern desire to evolve its digital capacity. When it entered a vital partnership with Ripple Labs big gun Ripple Labs, it was considered in the eyes of many as a game-changer blockbuster deal which would benefit the stakeholders substantially.

However, the success of the deal was called into question, and a few eyebrows were raised when Moneygram in its Q4 financial report when it was pointed out that Ripple paid it just $8.9 million in profits.
