dForce, the Chinese decentralized finance getting <a href="https://multicoin.capital/2020/04/14/our-investment-in-dforce-the-defi-super-network/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">injected </a>with $1.5 million investment by Multicoin, a blockchain venture capital. Motives of this move are to launch a super-app styled platform. Chinese decentralized finance.  The Principal of Multicoin Capital Mable Jiang, that the reason behind this is to to bring a DeFi platform, loaded with super apps into the Asian market.

Jiang holds the view that Asian market and China is could really transform and lead to the massive adoption of DeFi, and according to her dForce is tailor-made for Asians as it responds well to the behaviour of the Asian users. Multicoin believes that the super apps are similar to super Asian apps like WeChat or Alipay and believes it is the first DeFi protocol super network.

When it comes to stablecoins lending in China,dForce leads the way. It stands at the seventh spot on locked funds list of DeFi platform. Majority of it'd funds are invested in two protocols - stablecoin USDx and LendF. China Merchant Bank Capital (CMBI) who took part in the previous round too was made a movie this time too along with Huobi Capital, but Multicoin came out on top

 Huobi Capital and China Merchant Bank Capital (CMBI)  also were involved in the seeding and CMBI, in the previous round was involved too.

Jiang states that Multicoin decision wasn't rash and they've been noticing the development of dForce for quite some time now, especially the progress its Lendf.me has made. She also stated she met their owners last December and was very enthusiastic about using a Chinese Launchpad to launch a global DeFi network.
<h2>dForce Capable of Leading the Way But Still a Work in Progress</h2>
However, even with the optimism around dForce, the whole concept of DeFi is still in its early stages and a lot of education and information is needed regarding this sector for mainstream adoption. However, Multicoin is of the view that through its exchanges and wallets, dForce is capable of leading the way for DeFi adoption in the country.
