The most recent version of the 1997-born music player Winamp enables users to connect their Metamask wallet to Winamp through the Brave, Chrome, or Firefox web browsers.
Winamp CEO Alexandre Saboundjian stated in a release that the foundation of the legendary Windows media player has always been about availability and creativity. He further claimed that the 1997-born music company is happy to unveil the first independent player reading audio NFTs and any available codecs. People may now use a player they enjoy to listen to any file they desire with the latest version of Winamp.
The legendary Windows media player claims that its NFT compatibility will be combined with other enhancements to transform Winamp into a cutting-edge listening platform that is global and will have a cross-platform creator service that will debut in early 2023.
Additionally, Warner Music Group declared that it would make music NFTs available through LGND, a Polygon-based community. Warner Music Group, the Ethereum sidechain network, and the Web3 music company officially revealed multi-year cooperation that would let artists registered to its labels to issue music NFTs through the future Polygon-based market LGND Music.
According to the firm, LGND will handle music NFTs from other platforms as well as Web3 NFTs and will provide desktop and mobile applications for engaging with the NFTs similarly to an iTunes-like experience. Warner Music and LGND have yet to reveal which artists will publish NFTs via the network, although WMG's popular label Spinnin' Records is included in the contract.
