In the year 2019, Micree Zhan was ousted by another co-founder of the company, Jihan Wu, and since then, Zhan has been working hard to make come back into the company using a legal way.
On June 03, the spat between the two co-founders reached another level, when Zhan tried physically to take over the office of Bitmain in Beijing.
A report states that from last few months the Beijing office of Bitmain mostly remains empty because of the COVID-19 quarantine.
A report by BlockBeats, a Chinese publication, stated that on June 03, while demanding to be returned as an operating member of the company, Zhan led the ‘Bao Ans’ team or the private guards into the office.
The BlockBeats report also included a video which shows that the guards led by Zhan have been marching next to the Bitmain’s office. And one of the clippings of the video also shows that outside door of the office was blocked with furniture.
The day after, the video was broadcasted online, the ousted co-founder of the company sent a letter to the employees claiming that as he has returned to the office so now he would be continuing all the operations.
He further mentioned that the legal dispute between him and Wu is still going on but it would be resolved soon. Zhan also asked the employees of the company that they should continue working like they usually do in normally.
After making his entry in the office, Zhan reaffirmed the commitment of Bitmain regarding the development of the advanced chip. He also resumed the company’s initiative towards developing blockchain and AI hardware.
Zhan has assured that soon the IPO process of the Bitmain would also be restarted. He even hopes that soon the market value of the company reaches over $50 billion.
