The PGA TOUR and Autograph will collaborate to develop a digital collectibles platform using video, statistics, images, and other competition-related elements from TOUR competitions. The top PGA TOUR golfers, as well as some of their favorite moments from the past and the current FedExCup Season, will be featured on NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), which golf fans will be able to purchase and collect. Additionally, collectors can receive advantages from various programs, including access to unique online, offline, and onsite experiences.
The PGA Tour has worked with Autograph before and has dabbled in NFTs. According to a recent revelation from Golf.com, the PGA Tours chose Autograph in April to mint Tour-licensed publications as NFTs. The FedExCup is a golf competition with an $18 million prize pool. The NFT-based sports memorabilia site Autograph, which debuted in July 2021, offers sporting moments and collections from players like the gymnast Simone Biles, the golfer Tiger Woods, and the firm's co-founder, football player Tom Brady.
