This integration was made possible through a partnership between the UK-based payment company and OpenNode, a leading bitcoin payments infrastructure company. OpenNode is a decentralized Bitcoin network that simplifies the technical aspects of using the Lightning Network for users all over the world and is compatible with every Bitcoin wallet.
Primer is already operational in over 20 countries and offers its merchant users different integrations that may be added to their existing payment processes. As a result of this partnership, merchants located worldwide will now be able to accept Bitcoin as payment for their goods and services seamlessly.
OpenNode's Head of Strategy, Josh Held, stated that the company is entering into a partnership with Priprimer because the two companies share a similar aim of redefining payments systems for merchants and enterprises all over the world. He said,
"OpenNode and Primer share the mission of reinventing payments and providing unmatched value to merchants and businesses everywhere," he said. Our partnership with Primer will enable diverse businesses, from large multinationals to sole proprietors, to integrate bitcoin payments for their customers."
Gabriel Le Roux, a co-founder of Primer, also said the company is excited regarding Pimer's partnership with OpenNode. He pointed out that merchants will be able to take advantage of this functionality using OpenNode's simplification process that only requires a few clicks to set up. He said,
"We're thrilled about partnering with OpenNode. For the first time, merchants across the globe have the opportunity to accept Bitcoin payments at checkout with just a few clicks, not code."
