Private Token Browser Brave Doubles it Monthly Active Users

Brave Browser
Privacy blockchain web browser Brave has witnessed its monthly active users doubled between 2018 to 2019, from 5.5 million to 10.4 million. In fact, over the past year, Brave has tripled its daily active Users up to 3.3 million.

The company said the recent growth in its monthly active users could be a result of Brave’s new version releases, Brave 1.0 on November 13. Ideally, Brave expanded its MAU by a whopping 3 million between October and November this year. The number of monthly active users in October was 8.7 million, and by the end of November had already hit 10 million users.

12x Spike in Verified  publishers

Besides a surge in Brave’s  active users, the platform also recorded a 12X increase in publishers that are verified to receive Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) - Note that BAT is Brave’s in-built ERC-20 t crypto tokens that publishers receive for sharing content.

BATGrowth, a site that tracks analytics of Brave’s adoption has it that the total number of publishers on the platform skyrocketed to 341,880 as of December 6. In comparison to statistics at the beginning of the year of up to 28,000 verified publishers.

Brave Browser Continues to Grows

Since the inception of Cryptocurrency rewarding schemes for publishers such as Steemit, the number of similar projects has been on the rise. Note Publish0x, a platform that rewards bloggers with Ethereum ERC-20 tokens and the browser Brave. Steemit rewards its publishers with either Steem currency or Steem Power; which enables users to keep intact with the platform.

Meanwhile several reports reveal that Brave is becoming increasingly popular. The browser has already overtaken its major competitors such as Firefox, Opera, Chrome and Safari. Brendan Eich, a cofounder of Mozilla and Javascript initially announced Brave back in 2016. The browser allows users to tip publishers on major social media platforms such as Twitter, Vimeo and news platforms like Reddit, using the Basic Attention Token.
