Project Galaxy Announces NFT Pack With $300M of Perks for Blockchain Developers

NFT focused startup Project Galaxy is partnering with multiple players from the digital collectibles space to offer $300 million worth of perks to blockchain developers. The firm’s latest initiative -- dubbed as Shadowy Super Code NFT Pack -- will distribute subscriptions, tools, and transaction cost concessions to over 100,000 Ethereum developers, who meet the eligibility criteria.

In a recent blog post, Project Galaxy revealed that it was working with Tenderly, Alchemy, Polygon, Gitcoin, and several others to recognize and reward blockchain developers who’ve contributed to the ecosystem.

The name of this rewards scheme is inspired by a meme that poked fun at Senator Elizabeth Warren’s views on crypto. Warren had originally said that “Crypto Puts Financial System in the Hands of Shadowy Super-Coders.”

“Initially, we just wanted to design and reward this special Shadowy Super Coder NFT to all of those who contributed to this amazing ecosystem, but we then realized we can help the developers by recreating something similar to the GitHub education pack,” Project Galaxy co-founder Harry Zhang said in a statement to Decrypt.

Among the NFT pack’s several benefits, developers will get 20,000 free of charge transactions on the Polygon network, free trials, and discounts on blockchain platform Alchemy, and 50 tokens of Gitcoin’s native cryptocurrency GTC if they opt to join the network’s decentralized autonomous organization (DAO).

Selected candidates will also enjoy incentives from Project Galaxy’s other partners, including Ankr, OneKey, Torus, QuickNode, PARSIQ, and Curvegrid. Additionally, everyone selected in the program will receive an exclusive NFT based on the Shadowy Super Coder theme.

Eligibility Requirements for the Pack

As per Project Galaxy’s post, there are 110,294 Ethereum addresses that are currently eligible for the benefits. The firm states that any address that deployed at least one smart contract before August 1, 2021, and had the contract interact with a minimum of two different addresses, is eligible to claim the rewards.
